- Tim Panaccio via twitter: Don’t expect a presser after the meetings today. The NHL will look to go the silent route with just putting out a statement. The NHL is thinking that they are better off if less is said publicly. Talks are expected to last most of the week.
- Darren Dreger via twitter: It would likely take a at least a week to get a deal done. A quick deal is a longshot.
- Allan Walsh via twitter: In the Chicago Daily Herald is was said: “An anonymous NHL executive said there are 6-8 owners shutting down a $3.3B business.”
- Kevin Paul Dupont via twitter: One NHL team executive said that there was some movement with the weekend meetings, but he’s not convinced it will prove to be meaningful.
