Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette: Canadiens prospect Blake Geoffrion has taken to the hospital and had surgery on his head after taking a big, legal hit from Syracuse defenceman Jean-Philippe Côté. The injury is not life threatening. His parents were at the game. Geoffrion was able to leave the ice under his own power.
