TSN: Vancouver Canucks forward Rick Rypien was suspended for 6 games without pay for grabbing a fan on Tuesday. The Canucks were also fined $25,000 as per League policy.
Rypien had his disciplinary hearing this morning in New York.
The in-person meeting basically meant that he would receive at least 5 games, with many people feeling he receive somewhere in the 8-10 range. I think 6 games is fine, though I did think the NHL would come down a little harsher, making an example of him.
