The Hawks continue to move players out when cap space becomes an issue and that may be the case once again this summer, since rookie Artemi Panarin’s contract bonuses could bump up his salary from $812,500 to nearly $3 Million.
Shaw is coming off a two-year, $4 Million bridge deal and could fall victim to the same fate as Brandon Saad unless GM Stan Bowman can work some magic and find another team to take Bryan Bickell’s contract off of their hands.
