Trade: Avs Send O’Reilly To Sabres In a Five Player Trade

The Colorado Avalanche have trade Ryan O’Reilly and Jamie McGinn to the Buffalo Sabres for Nikita Zadorov, Mikhail Grigorenko, JT Compher and a 2015 2nd round pick (# 31).

O’Reilly was drafted 33rd overall in the second round of the 2009 draft by Colorado Avalanche. He carries a $6,000,000 cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of the season.

McGinn was drafted 36th overall in the second round of the 2006 draft by the San Jose Sharks. He carries a $2.95 million cap hit.

Zadorov was drafted 16th overall in the first round of the 2013 draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He carries a $894,167 cap it

Grigorenko was drafted 12th overall in the first round of the 2012 draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He’s a RFA and is not waiver exempt.

Compher was drafted 35th overall in the second round of the 2013 draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
