- Eric Stephens: Ryan Getzlaf said that he had “three or four episodes” where he was in a lot of pain before he decided to have his appendix removed.

- Chad Graff of the Pioneer Press: The Wild put Justin Fontaine on the IR with a lower-body injury and will likely be out on a “week-to-week” basis according to head coach Mike Yeo. Fontaine was hurt on a knee-on-knee collision with Blackhawks Andrew Desjardins.
