Kevin Kurz: Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that the 37-year old Joe Thornton was playing with a torn MCL and ACL.
“I don’t know if the injury report has come out yet, but I’ve never seen a player play with a torn MCL and ACL,” DeBoer said. “Basically, his knee is floating there. It was as courageous an effort, him doing what he did, as I’ve ever seen.”
GM Doug Wilson said that Thornton was to have surgery yesterday afternoon. Wilson on Thornton rehab timeframe.

Forward Tomas Hertl broke his foot in the same game Thornton on April 2nd.
Forward Patrick Marleau had a broken thumb.
Forward Logan Couture will have extensive dental work this offseason.

Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider: Kings forward Marian Gaborik will have a procedure this offseason and he won’t be ready for the start of training camp. GM Rob Blake said that Gaborik had been playing hurt according to Helene Elliott’s tweet. More will be made known today.

ESPN: Wild forward Eric Staal has been diagnosed with a concussion after he crashed into the boards on Saturday. The team announced that he was alert but was taken to the hospital as a precaution and was later released.
