NHL Rumors: Canadiens, Canucks, Maple Leafs, Senators, and Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins may be interested in Jean-Gabriel Pageau. Henrik and Daniel Sedin want to return to the Vancouver Canucks next year.
On the Montreal Canadiens …

TSN: Darren Dreger said that Montreal Canadiens could look to move out some valuable assets.

“There are assets that Bergevin could consider moving out,” Dreger said. “You’re talking about Max Pacioretty, that rumour has been out there now for several weeks. You’re talking about Andrew Shaw, who is a gritty competitor who has playoff experience with two Stanley Cup rings and some term on his contract, even though he’s just 26-years-old. And Alex Galchenyuk is another asset Bergevin could consider moving out.”

On the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Pittsburgh Penguins …

Sportsnet: Hockey Night in Canada “Headlines:

Chris Johnston: It’s sounding like Vancouver Canucks pending unrestricted free agents Daniel and Henrik Sedin want to come back for one more season. There haven’t been contract talks between the Sedin’s and Canucks.

Elliotte Friedman: Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello has a history of moving a player out if there were conflicting agendas within the dressing. The Leafs have seven free agents that need contracts next year. Some people around the league may be curious to see what he does.

Nick Kypreos: The future between the Maple Leafs and GM Lamoriello may not be decided until after the season. Lamoriello is in the last year of his deal.

Chris Johnston: Don’t expect the Senators to trade defenseman Erik Karlsson. Dorion did reference that even Gretzky got traded, but he said he not listening to offers on Karlsson. He said a few GM have called him.

Nick Kypreos: Teams that have talked to GM Dorion about Karlsson don’t expect him to be moved either at the trade deadline. Not a lot of teams would give up a big portion of their future unless they know for sure they could re-sign him. A lot of people expect Karlsson future to be a big topic around the draft and late June.

Chris Johnston: Jean-Gabriel Pageau has drawn a lot of interest. The Senators may already have an offer for him, but they’re not ready to move him just yet.

Elliotte Friedman: Think that the Penguins are one team that is looking hard at Pageau and it would make a lot of sense.
