Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler requires surgery to repair fractures in his orbital bone, cheekbone and upper jaw bone. The surgery will be tomorrow and his timeline won’t be known until after the afterward.

Eric Stephens: Fowler took a puck to the face on Monday after a shot deflected off his stick. A similar thing happened last year to Ryan Getzlaf and he missed about six weeks.

No update on Subban yet

Adam Vingan: Nashville Predators forward Viktor Arvidsson is eligible to come off the IR today if he’s healthy. Not known yet if he is.

Coach Peter Laviolette didn’t have an update on defenseman P.K. Subban.

Haula out month to month

David Schoen: Vegas Golden Knights forward Erik Haula will be out “month to month” according to coach Gerard Gallant. He was put on the IR on Tuesday.

Ryan S. Clark: Colorado Avalanche coach Jared Bednar is hopeful that J.T. Compher is able to practice soon and could join the team for their road trip next week.

Rick Dhaliwal: Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alex Edler’s agent said that his knee injury is progressing and is on pace for the four- to six-week recovery.
