Teams interested in what the Blues will do with Tarasenko

Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos said last night on Headlines that teams are watching St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

“We know that Doug Armstrong wants to eventually change the make-up of his dressing room. Tarasenko is an interesting topic of discussion. He has a no-trade that kicks in July 1, so there’s a lot of teams that’s interested in seeing what direction want to go.”

If the Blues are going to rebuild, Tarasenko could be an interesting trade chip for them.

“Goal scoring’s at a premium,” added Kypreos. “A team like Carolina, that had Nylander on their watch list up until he signed with Toronto, still remains in the hunt for a goal scorer. At $7.5 million, it’s a lot of money, but it’s not $8.5 or $9 million. He’s going to have four more years left on that contract, it would take a significant trade, but a lot of teams view him as a Phil Kessel type of guy that can come in and be a great supporting cast.”

Tarasenko is the goal scoring help the Bruins should be after

Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports: It’s becoming more clear that the Boston Bruins need to find another offensive forward. They had hoped that some of their young guys would be able to step up but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

They have been linked to Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle.

Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues and Artemi Panarin of the Columbus Blue Jackets are potentially available.

Haggerty believes the Bruins should do all they can to land Tarasenko. That would give them two lines that could look like Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak and DeBrusk-Krejci-Tarasenko.

Jake DeBrusk might have to be included in a deal along with Torey Krug and some draft picks and/or prospects. The Blues may want DeBrusk and Charlie McAvoy.
