Ryan Boulding: Colorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews returned to the lineup after missing the past 13 games with an upper-body injury.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers forwards Brad Marchand and Anton Lundell missed last night’s game. Coach Paul Maurice said there is a chance they will play later this week.

  • George Richards: Lundell skated in a no-contact jersey yesterday, Marchand didn’t skate, and Jonah Gadjovich was in a regular jersey.

Jessi Pierce: Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno missed last night’s game due to illness.

Wild defenseman Daemon Hunt left last night’s game in the first period after taking a puck to the throat area. Coach Jon Hynes said after the game that he’s okay and doesn’t think that he will miss any time.

Amanda Stein: New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes skated on his own after practice. (He left Saturday’s game in the first period)

Mike Morreale: Devils coach Sheldon Keefe on Hughes: “Obviously the fact he (skated) after (practice) is more indicative he & the medical team are happy w/ how his physio went throughout the day. I haven’t gotten an assessment of what that means. Whether he’s available tomorrow, that’s still up in the air still.”

Siobhan Nolan: Philadelphia Flyers coach Rick Tocchet said that goaltender Samuel Ersson is out day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Joshua Kloke: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly wasn’t on the ice yesterday for practice, missed last night’s game, and will miss their final game before the Olympic break. He is still with the team. Coach Craig Berube didn’t have a timeline.

Matt Komma: Vancouver Canucks forward Filip Chytil left last night’s game in the second period with an undisclosed injury. Coach Adam Foote:  “They just told me he tweaked something. We’re going to evaluate it, we should know more tomorrow.”

Sammi Silber: Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson missed last night’s game. He’s listed as day-to-day and is “real close.”

Daily Faceoff: Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren is out through the Olympic break. It’s not long-term.
