The Winnipeg Jets need to get tougher, and will someone come calling for Connor Hellebuyck
Murat Ates of The Athletic: (mailbag) The Winnipeg Jets could turn to free agency to add some toughness to their roster. More toughness is available than scoring. Potential options on the blue line include Connor Murphy, Jamie Oleksiak, Jeremy Lauzon, Radko Gudas and Andrew Peeke. A.J. Greer is an option at forward. Mason Marchment has a bit of scoring touch and physical play, but is not really a fighter.
Some think the Jets could eventually shop Connor Hellebuyck. Florida, Buffalo, Detroit, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Utah and New Jersey all may not trust their goaltending.
Could the Panthers offer the No. 9 pick and someone like Anton Lundell or Mackie Samoskevich and a goaltending prospect like Kirill Gerasimyuk or Tyler Muszelik.
doesn’t expect the Jets to be selling Hellebuyck.
