David Alter: Toronto Maple Leafs GM John Chayka said in media scrum today that as of where things currently stand, he doesn’t anticipate Morgan Rielly to be traded.
They’ve made a decision on who they will take at No. 1 and it was a unanimous decision.
There is no update on where things sit with Matthew Knies.
Chayka added that Auston Matthew injury recover is ‘positive,’ that defenseman Chris Tanev is healthy and skating, and goaltender Anthony Stolarz is fully healthy.

Jeff Svoboda: Columbus Blue Jackets GM Don Waddell on their offseason plan heading into the draft: “We’re still trying to make some deals to make our team better, and that may include the draft pick that we have at 14. Our goal hasn’t changed from the season’s end. We know we want to try to be better.”
Jeff Svoboda: Waddell is looking to add to their forward group: “”We have a lot of balls in the air right now trying to upgrade our forward group. You never know until a deal is done, but we’re hoping we can make some moves that strengthen our offensive abilities.”
