  • Carolina Hurricanes: The Hurricanes are hopeful to get Jeff Skinner back in the lineup next Tuesday and Eric Staal back sometime in the second half of their road trip.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes John-Michael Liles is close to returning.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Penguins coach Mike Johnston said that Pascal Dupuis was cleared by medical and was doing fine. Was going precautionary tests on the ice this morning. Dave Molinari: A decision on whether Dupuis will play tomorrow night won’t be made until after their game-day skate tomorrow.
  • Gene Principe: It’s looking like Ryan Nugent-Hopkins could play as he’s centering Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall at practice.
  • Rich Chere: The Devils are saying that Martin Havlat is day-to-day with lacerations. There was no structural damage.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks Patrick Maroon will be out for four weeks.
  • David Pagnotta: Avs Semyon Varlamov is only expected to miss two more games or so, so unless his injury is worse than originally thought, they will likely stay put.
  • Aaron Protzline: Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Murray appears to be out tonight. He was seeing doctors this morning about his knee.
  • Chuck Gormley: Capitals Jay Beagle (upper-body) and Tom Wilson (ankle) will travel with the team when they go on their Western Canada road trip next week.
  • Tracey Myers: Blackhawks Michal Rozsival will be back in the lineup tomorrow night.
