Injuries: Habs, Wild, Lightning, Wings, Hawks, Rangers and More

On the Canadiens …

  • Renaud Lavoie: The Canadiens expect to have more news on Carey Price tomorrow.

On the Wild …

  • Minnesota Wild: Zach Parise has a sprained MCL in his right knee and he’ll be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.

On the Lightning …

  • Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times: Jonathan Drouin returned after missing five games with a lower-body injury, but winger Ondrej Palat left in the second period with a lower-body injury yesterday. It didn’t look good as Palat had to be helped into the dressing room. Nino Niederreiter landed on Palat’s left leg/ankle.

On the Red Wings …

  • Brendan Savage: Mike Green said that he’ll play today against the Stars. Pavel Datsyuk said he’s about a week away.

On the Blackhawks …

  • Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune: The Blackhawks are already without Michal Rozsival, Duncan Keith and Marian Hossa. Artem Anisimov left Friday’s game in the second period with a lower-body injury. The injury is not thought to be serious.

On the Rangers …

  • Andrew Gross of The Record: Rick Nash missed his second consecutive game and is day-to-day after being injured in practice on Thursday.

“He had another good day today but just not goo enough to go,” coach Alain Vigneault said. “It’s day to day and he should be all right in a couple of days. The back, sometimes, is a funny thing.”

On the Panthers …

  • Harvey Fialkov: Dave Bolland is getting close to returning to the Panthers lineup. Aleksander Barkov is skating back in Florida.

On the Jets …

  • Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: Andrew Copp missed his third straight game with an upper-body injury. He is expected to skate tomorrow, but a timetable to return is not known yet.

On the Flyers …

  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: Michael Del Zotto was briefly injured after an accidental slew foot by Chris Thorburn. Del Zotto was down for a bit and had to be helped off by teammates. He was able to return to the game.

“I couldn’t feel my leg,” Del Zotto said. “That’s why I didn’t get up. I couldn’t feel my right leg, so I was a bit concerned. I went off and after a couple minutes got it back.

“I just might have hit the nerve there. He just got the back of my leg. I couldn’t feel the back of my leg so I was a bit worried.”

Evgeny Medvedev has missed the last four games and is still day-to-day with his upper-body injury.

“Hopefully, he skates in the next day or two and we get to see where he is at,” Hextall said.
