Injuries: Hall, Bieksa, Goloubef, Ducks Goalies, Allen and Harding
  • Dustin Nielsen: Oilers Taylor Hall will be out two to four weeks with a MCL sprain.
  • Vancouver Canucks: Canucks Kevin Bieksa and Tom Sestito (lower-body) both left last night’s game early. Jason Botchford: Bieksa left the Rogers Centre with a doctor. There was a lot of concern with his eye.
  • Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen didn’t have info on Cody Goloubef’s injury.
  • Helene Elliott: Ducks goalie Jonathan Gibson suffered a lower-body injury during warm ups.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks goalie Freddie Andersen has minor leg tightness and is day-to-day.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks have recalled defenseman Bryan Allen (lower-body) from his long-term conditioning assignment.
  • Corey Pronman: The Stars have recalled Valeri Nichushkin from his rehab assignment
  • Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Suspended and injured Wild goalie Josh Harding has put the pads back on and is taking shots before practice starts. He has joined the team recently after rehabbing from his broken foot away from the team. They don’t know when he’ll start practicing with them.

“It’s almost like he’s just starting his summer routine, so how much time does he need to get his conditioning, to get his wind, to get his strength back and to get his movements back and how will the foot impact that?” Fletcher said. “So there’s still lots of questions.”
