Injuries: Hall, Jackets, Parise, Nichushkin, Perry, Flames and Girardi
  • Chris Wescott: Oilers Taylor Hall could be in the Oilers lineup against the Coyotes.

“I think if morning skate goes as well as I think it will then I’ll be playing,” Hall said.

“There’s not too much pain anymore,” he said. “The pain dissolved after a couple of days. It’s more of just strength and being able to rely on it. Like I said, today was another good day and I want to keep going.”

  • Columbus Blue Jackets: The Blue Jackets activated Artem Anisimov and put Matt Calvert and Fedor Tyutin on the IR. Calvert is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Tyutin is expected to be out four to six weeks with a sprained knee.
  • Dallas Stars: Stars forward Valeri Nichushkin will have surgery on his hip and will  be out for four months.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks Corey Perry will be a game-time decision today.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks Devante Smith-Pelly hasn’t practiced the past couple days. Stephens is pretty certain it’s a shoulder issue.
  • Michael Smith: Alex Semin (upper-body) and Jay Harrison (lower-body) missed yesterday’s game.
  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames winger David Jones left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.
  • John Shannon: Flames Mark Giordano required four stitches close to eye. (He left the game after being hit and later returned)
