  • Arthur Staple of Newsday: Islanders Johnny Boychuk will have knee evaluated today when they arrive home. He took a knee-on-knee hit from Kings Kyle Clifford on Thursday. Josh Bailey removed his brace from his broken left hand yesterday. He’s missed the past seven games.
  • Elliotte Friedman: Panthers Dmitri Kulikov will have an MRI today to determine the extend of his knee injury.
  • Elliotte Friedman: Oilers Taylor Hall could start skating as early as tomorrow, there is no timetable on his return.
  • Randy Miller: Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn left last night’s game with a shoulder injury.
  • Capitals PR: Brooks Laich is now listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
  • Iain MacIntryre: Canucks Radim Vrbata has been dealing with a lower-body injury: “As long as it doesn’t hurt your performance or hurt the team, you play through it.”
  • Lance Pugmire: Ducks Bruce Boudreau said that Corey Perry is likley “just too weak” to play today and isn’t expected back to practice until Tuesday.
  • Mark Stepneski: Stars Valeri Nichushkin (hip/groin) won’t be skating for a two or three days. Cody Eakin and his upper-body injury are not skating yet.
  • Stephen Whyno: Flyers prospect Shayne Gostisbehere is out indefinitely with a torn ACL.
