  • Mark Lazerus: Blackhawks Corey Crawford said that he’s close to returning and wouldn’t rule out Thursday.
  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames Joe Colborne left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.
  • Rotoworld Hockey: Flames Matt Stajan left last night’s game after being involved with a knee-on-knee hit.
  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames Mason Raymond was put on the IR and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
  • Frank Seravalli: Flyers GM Ron Hextall wouldn’t comment on Jason Akeson’s right foot/ankle injury. Went for x-rays.
  • Brooks Bratten: The Predators activated Matt Cullen off the IR, put Rich Clune on waivers and put Viktor Stalberg on a conditioning assignment.
  • Michael Russo: Wild’s Jonas Brodin has more than a sore hand. Coach Mike Yeo and GM Chuck Fletcher are worried.
  • Alex Prewitt: Capitals coach Barry Trotz said that Brooks Laich is out tonight.
  • Michael Russo: The Wild have put Christian Folin and Keith Ballard on the IR.

  • Ted Kulfan: Red Wings Johan Franzen tried to skate yesterday and it didn’t go well as he groin bothered him. Chuck Pleiness: Franzen said he still feels tightness and is not optimistic about returning this weekend.
  • Sam Carchidi: Flyers Vinny Lecavalier will travel with the team, but it’s not known if he’ll play.
  • Bryan Burns: Lightning’s Ryan Callahan is now day-to-day and will be disappointed if he isn’t able to play this weekend.
  • Matt Baker of the Tampay Bay Times: Lightning’s Viktor Hedman continues to recover from surgery on his right hand injury that required a few pins. He’ll be out another month.
