  • Ken Wiebe: Jets head coach Paul Maurice on if Evander Kane could return to the lineup during their trip: “I don’t know that, but my expectation is no. I would not list him as day-to-day right now and we’ll go from there.
  • STL Blues News: Blues Paul Stastny is expected to play tonight. Lou Korac: Stastny has a quad contusion and Patrik Berglund has an upper-body injury.
  • Rob Mixer: Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards on how close defenseman Ryan Murray is to returning to the lineup: “I don’t know, but he’s getting closer.”
  • Luke DeCock: Hurricanes coach Peters suggested that Ryan Murphy and Brett Bellemore would be in the lineup today. Anton Khudobin is expected to start in net.
  • Chuck Gormley: Capitals coach Barry Trotz said that Michael Latta could be in the lineup against the Bruins and that Tom Wilson will be out at least another week.
  • Chuck Gormley: Capitals Mike Green (upper-body) said he’s getting better and will see how he feels today with regards to being in the lineup today.
  • Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: The Sharks put Eriah Hayes on waivers. James Sheppard (knee), Barclay Goodrow (hand) and Tyler Kennedy (upper-body) remain out. Sheppard may be the closest to returning, but he’s still in a no-contact jersey.
