Injuries: Lightning, Hawks, Sabres, Ducks, Wild, Canes and Wings
  • Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe: The Bruins have lost Adam McQuaid for six- to eight-weeks with a broken thumb. McQuaid was hit by a Kevin Shattenkirk shot. Brad Marchand is still day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
  • Mike Chambers of the Denver Post: Avs Jamie McGinn missed practiced on consecutive days and is questionable for tonight. Dennis Everberg replaced McGinn on a line with Nathan MacKinnon and Daniel Briere.
  • Erik Erlendsson: Lightning’s Brett Connolly hopes to be ready for tonight. Victor Hedman is still wearing a splint on his right hand and hasn’t been cleared for shooting drills. He is skating and doing some stickhandling. Targeting an early December return.

“I just keep plugging away,’’ Hedman said. “It’s good to be in full gear and skating around and touch the puck a little bit. It’s a process, so I’m just going to keep pushing forward.”

  • Chris Kuc: Blackhawks Trevor van Riemsdyk will be out for three to four months after fracturing his left patella.
  • Bob McKenzie: Flyers Claude Giroux blocked a shot at practice on Monday and they originally thought it could be broken. Ended up not being that serious.
  • Anaheim Ducks: Ducks Francois Beauchemin (mumps) will return to the lineup tonight.
  • Anaheim Ducks: Ducks Devante Smith-Pelly (upper-body) will return to the lineup tonight.
  • Andy Greder: Wild’s Jonas Brodin (mump-like symptoms) won’t travel with the team to Philadelphia, but he could join them in Florida.
  • Michael Smith: Hurricanes Jay Harrison (lower-body) could be available tonight.
  • George Sipple: Pavel Datsyuk will travel with the team to Winnipeg.
  • Joe Smith: Lightning’s Cedric Paquette is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
  • Helene St. James: Red Wings Brendan Smith was put on the IR with a hand infection from a fight and is out at least 10 days.
  • Shawn Mitchell: Nick “Foligno swallowed another tooth last night. Was spitting them out as he was throwing punches, he said.”
