Injuries: Lightning, Panthers, Jackets, Devils, Blues, Wings and Flyers
  • Bryan Burns: Lightning’s J.T. Brown left last night’s game with a lower-body injury. Brent Connolly also left with a lower-body injury.
  • Joe Smith: Lightning’s Ryan Callahan said his lower-body injury is “progressing like it should” and there is no timetable for his return.
  • Joe Smith: Lightning’s Alex Killorn said he’s feeling better each day but is not sure when he’ll return. He’s hoping for next week.
  • Harvey Fialkov: Panthers David Bolland will miss his third consecutive game.
  • Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets goalie Curtis McElhinney (neck/head) joined the team in Anaheim.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils coach Peter DeBoer said that Martin Havlat is dealing with a couple issues that don’t have to do with the cuts to his face, and that is why he missed last night’s game.
  • Lou Korac: Blues Paul Stastny has skated the past couple days but is not shooting pucks.
  • Lou Korac: Blues Carl Gunnarsson still hasn’t told coach Ken Hitchcock if he’s ready to return yet.
  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings Johan Franzen is eligible to come off the IR today, but he’s not ready. He didn’t skate yesterday. Coach Mike Babcock didn’t have an update on Franzen and he’s not making the trip.
  • Boston Bruins: Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said that Kevan Miller’s dislocated right shoulder is progressing well. There is no timetable for his return.
  • New Jersey Devils: The Devils put winger Jordin Tootoo on the IR retroactive to October 21st. He’s listed as day-to-day. Tom Gulitti: GM Lou Lamoriello said that Tootoo has a bruised foot and that it’s not fractured.
  • Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News: The Flyers announced that both Braydon Coburn and Andrew MacDonald will miss the next four weeks with lower-body injuries. Coburn hurt his left foot in their season opener. He tried to return last week but must of had a setback. Not much is known about MacDonald’s injury. Zac Rinaldo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
