Injuries: Oilers, Coyotes, Jackets, Flyers, Sens, Panthers and More

On the Oilers …

  • Mark Spector: The Oilers put Jordan Eberle (shoulder) on the LTIR.
  • Bob Stauffer: Eberle and Matt Hendricks were skating with the main group at practice yesterday.
  • Bob Stauffer: Eberle is on schedule and hasn’t had any set-backs. Put on the LTIR for salary cap reasons.

On the Coyotes ..

  • Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic: Antoine Vermette (lower-body) practiced with the team yesterday. He’s missed the past three games. Martin Hanzal skated before practice. Both will be re-evaluated this morning.

“Both of them, it’d be ideal to get them back,” Tippett said. “We’ll see. The factor with us is going to be we’ve got five more days after this off. We’ll play that by ear. Neither of them we’re going to put into trouble if we think there’s a possibility of injuring things further. But if they can play, they’ll play and it’ll certainly help.”

On the Sharks …

  • Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: Logan Couture’s recovery is on track. He had surgery on his fractured right fibula on October 17th. He’s expected to miss four to six weeks.

On the Blue Jackets …

  • Shawn Mitchell: Coach John Tortorella is expecting Ryan Johansen to return the lineup tonight, barring any setbacks.
  • Shawn Mitchell: Brandon Saad didn’t travel with the team to Washington and is out with an illness.

On the Flyers …

On the Senators …

  • Ottawa Senators: Coach Dave Cameron said that Mike Hoffman won’t play tonight, but could return on Saturday. Curtis Lazar remains out, but is “progressing.”
  • Bruce Garrioch: Lazar is working his way back and is going through the normal concussion protocol.

On the Panthers …

  • George Richards of the Miami Herald: Jaromir Jagr status for tonight is not known yet.

“We’ll see what happens,” said Jagr, who said he felt pain in his ribs which led to painful breathing.

“I was feeling good early, then it got sore. Every 24 hours makes a huge difference. My side is kind of off, it’s not just my leg. I don’t know if I got hit or something.”

Jagr has been bothered by something for the past week. Coach Gerard Gallant said he’s been bothered by a groin/hip issue.

“I’ll go in morning skate and see what happens. I haven’t been able to skate but I was still scoring, so I wanted to keep playing. At least I could help the team somehow. Then I went for acupuncture and the pain was a lot less but my muscles kind of got weaker. I had no support on that side so I had to leave. If I kept playing, I think it was going to get worse and then you’re looking at three weeks.”

On the Maple Leafs …

  • Jonas Siegel: Tyler Bozak and Jake Gardiner both practiced yesterday.
  • Paul Hendrick: Nick Spaling started practice with the main group yesterday, but left after 15 minutes.

On the Bruins …
