  • Vance of BanginPager: Jason Pominville failed his neuro test yesterday, will re-take today.
  • Adam L. Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times: The Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell could be returning to the lineup Saturday, but Monday against the Rangers may be more realistic.

8:04 am:

  • Pierre LeBrun via Twitter: Sheldon Souray tells LeBrun there’s a small break in his hand, and will be out 10-14 days. (See video of the fight in a post from yesterday)
  • Colorado Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson hurts his knee during warm-ups last night. He’ll be evaluated this morning by team doctors, after flying back to Denver. It looks like it could be serious. Dater notes there are worries about torn ACL.
  • Eric Stevens of the OC Register: Anaheim Ducks winger Dan Sexton will have surgery to repair his broken nose tomorrow, and will be out at least 2 weeks.
  • Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Although Jordan Staal has been looking good in practice, he’s still a ways away, he’ll miss his 10th straight game tonight. “He looks good, but there’s still a ways to go before he gets close to that 100-percent number,” coach Dan Bylsma.
