  • Bob McKenzie: The Kings and Alec Martinez agree on a six-year, $24 million contract extension.
  • Darren Dreger: The Stars put Anders Lindback on waivers.
  • Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Wild’s Ryan Suter missed last night’s game with possibly the mumps.

    “We’re hoping it’s just illness,” Yeo said. “There’s a couple symptoms that he has that would make us concerned that it could be .”

    Other Wild players to have the mumps: Marco Scandella, Jonas Brodin, Keith Ballard and Christian Folin.

  • Chris Kuc: Corey Crawford is out two to three weeks.  Tracey Myers: Crawford said he slipped when leaving a concert. He has a walking boot on his left foot. Chris Kuc: He wouldn’t go into details and wouldn’t say if alcohol was a factor.
  • Anaheim Ducks: Jason LaBarbera is out two to three weeks with a broken bone in his hand. Eric Brewer is out four to six weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
  • Eric Stephens: Ilya Bryzgalov won’t travel with the Ducks today. He may skate with Heatley and Niedermayer.
  • Chris Johnston: Senators Marc Methot is a possibility for tonight.
  • Adam Vingan: Mike Green is traveling with the team, but won’t play tonight.
  • Tom Gulitti: Jaromir Jagr, Patrik Elias and Stephen Gionta all traveled with the team,  but their status for tonight is not known yet.
  • David Pollak: Sharks Logan Couture “looks OK” after concussion protocols according to coach Todd McLellan.
  • NHL Player Safety: Penguins Robert Bortuzzo was suspended for two games for his hit on Jaromir Jagr. Seth Rorabaugh: Bortuzzo will forfeit $6,451.62 is salary.
