Anaheim Ducks: Forward Frank Vatrano will miss about the next six weeks with a fractured shoulder. He suffered the injury last Saturday against the LA Kings.

Rachel Lenzi: Buffalo Sabres goaltender Alex Lyon is back in Buffalo getting evaluated for a lower-body injury. Goaltender Colten Ellis was activated from the IR.

Ryan Boulding: Colorado Avalanche forward Joel Kiviranta missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

David Dwork: Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov has started skating. He’s recovering from knee surgery in September.

Robby Stanley: Predators forward Jonathan Marchessault missed his sixth consecutive game with a lower-body injury.

Dan Arritt: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak returned to the lineup after missing 17 games with a hand injury.

Jonas Siegel: Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said that defenseman Chris Tanev is going to miss “significant time” with a groin injury.

“They’re looking at things going forward here, so I’m not gonna speculate on what they’re gonna exactly do. But he’s gonna be out a while.”

NHL News: Team Canada Named, A Flyers-Penguins Trade, and Stamkos, MacKinnon Hit Milestones

Nick Barden: Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews was on the ice for their optional skate yesterday and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Nick Barden: Maple Leafs forward William Nylander (lower-body) didn’t skate yesterday.

Jonas Siegel: Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz skated yesterday for the first time since suffering his injury back in November. There is no timetable for his return.

TSN: Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua remains in Detroit (since Sunday) after suffering a kidney injury and will miss significant time.

Robby Stanley: Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb left last night’s game in the second period with an upper-body injury.

Defenseman Shea Theodore (upper-body) and forward Jack Eichel (lower-body) missed their seventh consecutive game.
