On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer: Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere injured his right hand on Sunday. GM Ron Hextall said Gostisbehere is out day-to-day.

Tim Panaccio: Defenseman Mark Streit is out with a sprained left shoulder. Streit will be out two weeks.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Mike Harrington: Forward Kyle Okposo missed yesterday’s practice with the flu, but coach Dan Bylsma doesn’t appear to be concerned about his availability for today.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Rob Mixer: Forward Nick Foligno was back at practice yesterday. He missed the past two games with an illness.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune: Forward Jonathan Toews missed his ninth straight game on Sunday, and defenseman Brent Seabrook missed his second. The Blackhawks are on a three-game road trip and Seabrook is close to playing. They are waiting for Toews to be fully healed before letting him return to the lineup.

“It is the type of injury that’s really tough,” Toews said. “You almost have to sit around and wait for it to heal and get better. Sometimes you feel good and all of a sudden you do some little movements here or there that seem to just fire everything up. So yeah, I guess in that sense it is frustrating.”

Chris Hine: Both Toews and Seabrook will be traveling with the team to New York.
