Western Conference Injuries: Predators, Coyotes, Blues and Stars
Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban and Romas Josi
On the Nashville Predators …

Adam Vingan of the Tennessean: Defenseman P.K. Subban skated with teammates yesterday at their optional morning skate. It was the first time with teammates since last month. Subban has been out since December 15th with what’s believed to be herniated disc.

“It’s good to see him there,” Predators coach Peter Laviolette said Thursday morning. “Anytime somebody’s been off the ice for a while, P.K. or (injured forward James) Neal, whoever, it’s always positive when they start mixing back in with the group.”

Jim Diamond of Rink Side Report: Defenseman Roman Josi took a hit from Bruins Anton Blidh in the first period and didn’t return. The Predators said he has an upper-body injury. Coach Peter Laviolette on the hit: “I thought it was late and dirty.”

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Sarah McLellan: Forward Martin Hanzal thinks he’ll be ready to go tonight. He pulled a muscle on Friday against the Ducks but feels good after practicing yesterday.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Lou Korac: The Blues activated defenseman Robert Bortuzzo from the IR yesterday and he returned to the lineup last night.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mark Stepneski: Coach Lindy Ruff said that defenseman Jamie Oleksiak will be out for a couple weeks with a hand injury.

Mike Heika: Winger Jamie Benn returned to the Stars lineup last night.

Mike Heika: Forward Ales Hemsky will probably be ready to return late March or early April.

Mark Stepneski: Forward Patrick Eaves left their last game early, but was able to practice yesterday morning.
