NHL Injuries: Predators, Ducks, Blackhawks, Stars, Lightning and Rangers
P.K. Subban
On the Nashville Predators …

Brooks Bratten of NHL.com: The Nashville Predators have put defenseman P.K. Subban on the IR with an upper-body injury. He will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.

“It’s tough when you take people out of the lineup,” Laviolette said. “Ryan Ellis was out for a little bit and now P.K. is out, but guys step up and you have to move on. Every team in the League goes through it, and you deal with injuries. I think you’ve just got to keep moving forward, which our team has done.”

Elliotte Friedman: Subban, the Predators and doctors met yesterday to talk about how to treat what is believed to be a herniated disc.

Elliotte Friedman: Options include rest and hope that it improves. The worst-case scenario would be for Subban to have surgery which would keep him out of the lineup for awhile.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

Curtis Zupke: Center Ryan Getzlaf left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Curtis Zupka: Coach Randy Carlyle didn’t update on Getzlaf after the game.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Tracey Myers: The Blackhawks put Marcus Kruger on the IR

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika: Coach Lindy Ruff on Jamie Benn: “He got a little dinged up. We’ll have to see where he’s at the next couple of days.  Wanted to finish game. I don’t know if that was the smartest decision or not. Hopefully, we didn’t create a bigger problem.”

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: Forward Brian Boyle suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday and is considered day-to-day. If he’s not able to play tomorrow, Adam Erne to likely to his place.

On the New York Rangers …

Brett Cyrgalis: Rick Nash was skating this weekend and is “coming along,” according to Alain Vigneault.
