Joe Yerdon: Buffalo Sabres coach Don Granato said that goaltender Devon Levi is dealing with a nagging lower-body injury.

Walt Ruff: Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov practiced in a regular jersey. Forward Sebastian Aho and goaltender Frederik Andersen both practiced.

Walt Ruff: Svechnikov won’t play tonight and is a few games away from returning. Aho is close but status for tonight not known yet. No update on when Andersen could return. Defenseman Brett Pesce was getting re-evaluated and man not be long-term. Defenseman Jalen Chatfield was given a maintenance day.

Charlie Roumeliotis: Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall re-aggravated his left shoulder and he didn’t practice yesterday.

Jeff Svoboda: Columbus Blue Jackets forwards Patrik Laine and Sean Kuraly didn’t practice yesterday.

  • CBJ Public Relations: The Blue Jackets have placed Laine on the IR retroactive to October 20th. He’s day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice said that Sam Bennett could practice with the team on Thursday.

Renaud Lavoie: Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau, forward Christian Dvorak, and defenseman Kaiden Guhle didn’t travel with the team to Buffalo.

TSN 1200: Ottawa Senators coach D.J. Smith said that defenseman Artem Zub took a puck off the ear and was feeling dizzy.

  • TSN 1200: If Zub is able to skate this morning, there is a chance that he could play on Thursday.

Amanda Stein: New Jersey Devils forwards Nico Hischier and Erik Haula practiced yesterday and coach Lindy Ruff said they should be able to play tonight if all goes well.

New Jersey Devils: The Devils put forward Tomas Nosek on the IR with a lower-body injury retroactive to October 13th.

Lou Korac: St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich practiced in a no-contact jersey. He’s unlikely to be in the lineup for the start of their road trip.

Chris Krenn: Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tyler Motte is still not practicing.

Tom Gulitti: Washington Capitals forward Nic Dowd and goaltender Charlie Lindgren both missed practice with an upper-body injury.
