Darrin Bauming: Boston Bruins defenseman Jonathan Aspirot left in the third period last night with an upper-body injury. Forward Viktor Arvidsson left in the third period. There was no update after the game.

Daily Faceoff: Buffalo Sabres put goaltender Colten Ellis on the IR.

Kevin Woodley: Sabres forward Josh Norris has missed the past two games. Forward Alex Tuch missed last night’s game due to an illness.

Ryan Boulding: Colorado Avalanche forward Joel Kiviranta left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Jeff Svoboda: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner returned to the lineup last night.

Dallas News: Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz needed help off the ice after taking a shot off the leg/foot while they had an extra skater on at the end of the third.

Detroit Red Wings: Detroit Red Wings forward Mason Appleton was placed on the IR retroactive to November 29th.

NHL Injuries: Red Wings, Rangers, Senators, Flyers, Kraken, Leafs, Canucks, Capitals and Jets

Jessi Pierce: Minnesota Wild forward Marco Rossi had his first team skate. Forwards Marcus Foligno and Vinnie Hinostroza haven’t started skating yet. Defenseman Jacob Middleton and forward Mats Zuccarello are more than day-to-day with upper-body injuries.

  • NHL: Middleton and Zuccarello were placed on the IR.

Mike Morreale: The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Evgenii Dadonov on the IR with a wrist injury.

Stefen Rosner: New York Islanders forward Jonathan Drouin was back skating with the main group but wasn’t ready to go just yet.

NHL: Islanders forward Bo Horvat left last night’s game with a lower-body injury and is day-to-day, according to coach Patrick Roy.

Jordan Hall: Philadelphia Flyers defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen and Cam York were doing contract drills with Nicolas Deslauriers and Egor Zamula at their optional skate.

NHL: The Tampa Bay Lightning have placed defenseman Victor Hedman on the IR with an undisclosed injury. He had just returned, playing three games, after being out for 12 games with an undisclosed injury.

Nick Barden: Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said that “right now,” surgery isn’t an option for defenseman Chris Tanev.

David Alter: Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll took part in their optional morning skate.

NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Brandon Carlo had lower-body surgery last week and will be out about a month. He’s already missed their past 13 games.

Dave McCarthy: Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson left last night’s game in the third period after a hit along the boards and it looked like his left ankle got caught underneath both players as they fell. Coach Craig Berube said he’ll be re-evaluated today.

NHL: Utah Mammoth forward Logan Cooley is expected to be out for eight weeks with a lower-body injury.

Anaheim Ducks Continue to Impress as Stanley Cup Odds Shorten

NHL: Washington Capitals forward Ryan Leonard will be out for three to four weeks with a shoulder injury. He suffered the injury on December 5th from a hit by Jacob Trouba. Goaltender Charlie Lindgren is progressing.

Danielle Bain: Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was on the ice for the second consecutive day with the team.
