Bryan Burns of NHL.com: Steven Stamkos left last night’s game in the first period with a lower-body injury.

Joe Smith: There was no update on Stamkos after the game. He will be re-evaluated today and they are hoping it is “minor.”

Joe Smith: Coach Jon Cooper wouldn’t speculate on Stamkos’ injury, but added that it’s “not anything like” what happened to Stamkos three years ago.

Ken Campbell: Source saying that Stamkos’ knee locked and he will get an MRI done in Detroit.

New York Rangers: Forward Chris Kreider missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury. Forward Pavel Buchnevich is out with back spasms.

Brett Cyrgalis: Alain Vigneault when asked if Kreider is being checked for a concussion: “Right now I have no update on anything. We’re just waiting.”
