NHL Injuries: Capitals, Penguins, Canadiens, Jets, Ducks and Kings
T.J. Oshie and Patrik Laine
On the Washington Capitals …

Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post: Both T.J. Oshie and Tom Wilson were injured on Saturday.

“I won’t really have an idea until tomorrow,” Coach Barry Trotz said. “We’ll see where is and reevaluate him tomorrow morning and then make a call on that. Tom Wilson, same thing. I think both of them are sort of wait-and-see until later tonight or first thing in the morning.”

Oshie has an upper-body injury. Wilson has a lower-body injury after blocking a shot.

Brett Connolly took Oskie’s spot on the line with Alex OVechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jason Mackey: Coach Mike Sullivan said yesterday that goalie Matt Murray has skated the past two days.

Pens Inside Scoop: Sullivan added that Murray’s status hasn’t changed.

On the Montreal Canadiens …

Renaud Lavoie: Both Paul Byron and Andrew Shaw skated yesterday morning.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: Head coach Paul Maurice updated Patrik Laine‘s status yesterday. Maurice confirmed that Laine has a concussion and is out indefinitely.

“He has a concussion. He will start the stages of recovery with that,” said Jets head coach Paul Maurice. “We will wait until the symptoms subside and then you start increasing the workload and getting back on the ice.

“There can’t be (a timeline) on any of these (concussions).”

He could be out a week or longer.

“He’s watching practice with a big smile on his face,” said Maurice. “He’s not feeling 100 per cent, he’s not feeling fresh but he’s walking around and looking good. And he’s got (Nikolaj) Ehlers as a chauffeur for the next little while. He’s in good shape.”

On the Anaheim Ducks …

Eric Stephens: Coach Randy Carlyle said yesterday that Ryan Getzlaf (lower-body) has skated the past two days, but not with the team. He might not be ready for Tuesday’s game against the Stars.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen: Coach Darryl Sutter isn’t saying much regarding Tyler Toffoli‘s progress. No update given yesterday. He didn’t skate, but Rosen heard he was working out off-ice.
