Flames make Frolik a healthy scratch

Kristen Anderson: Flames coach Bill Peters on Walsh’s comment: “No response (to the Tweets). Fro is going to play and he’s going to play with Backs and Chucky…he’s missed a lot of hockey, when you missed that much time with that type of injury, it takes time…You just don’t get the same guy back right away, it’s just not reality.”
Oilers address blueline but still need help on the wing
Mark Spector of Sportsnet: The Edmonton Oilers acquired depth to their blueline on Sunday and they continue to look for help.
Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli is looking for a right winger. Chiarelli has made forward Ryan Spooner available.
Chris Nichols of Nichols on Hockey: Bob McKenzie was on TSN 1260 and was asked about the two Edmonton Oilers trades on the weekend.
“And I think everybody in Edmonton understands and recognizes that the Oilers, they need to make the playoffs, there’s pressure on them to do that. And so the general manager is obviously trying to make some moves to bolster/upgrade/reconstitute – call it whatever you want – the blueline.
“The problem you run into is that it’s not easy making these deals under duress. And the duress I mean is trying to make the playoffs, and there not being a lot of really available options that are going to dramatically change the way you’re going to go. So what you do is you try to shuffle the deck a little bit.”
For the Oilers, it’s not easy to make deals when your team is struggling and there are not a lot of trades that might be out there.
