Larry Brooks of the NY Post: The ice system in place that Barclays Center is not suited for the Islanders long-term. Ownership is looking for other options, mainly a site in the Citi Field parking lot. They have discussed the idea of building an arena that would be on the third base/left field side. How to finance for the arena and large parking garage is not known at this point. There is an out clause with the Islanders and Barclay at some point.
The Jets could be waiting for the Ducks and Hampus Lindholm to have their situation resolved before they move Jacob Trouba. If a team trades for Trouba, they’ve already done their due diligence and know what it takes to sign him.
If the Rangers are going to try and trade for someone like Jacob Trouba or Sami Vatanen, they are going to have to move quality the other way. The Rangers need to see more from Kevin Hayes before they consider moving J.T. Miller for a top-four defenseman.

Sportsnet “Headlines”: Elliotte Friedman said the Kings have looked at goaltenders Ondrej Pavelec, Steve Mason, Reto Berra, and Mike Condon. Friedman wonders if they would consider reacquiring Jonathan Bernier. The Ducks will need move out some salary.
