“I’d say probably nothing new to report right now. My agents been obviously in discussions throughout the beginning of the year with management, Connie and those guys.

So, for me right now it’s just trying to stay focused on the game and let them handle it. But yeah, they’re definitely having discussions and when there’s new to report, I’ll let you guys know.

What Could Sidney Crosby’s Next Contract Look Like?

“I’ve always enjoyed my time playing in Calgary. I love it here. It’s been great. It’s just, like I said, sometimes being patient with things helps and kind of just give yourself some time to think about the process and what you want to do.

But for me, I’ve always loved Calgary and I’m happy that there are discussions happening.

Ryan Leslie: “Okay, the other news that I think everybody back in Calgary and around the league is keeping an eye on, Elliotte Friedman talked about Noah Hanifin’s situation. What can you share there as he’s now in the final year of his contract with the Calgary Flames and sounds as though may be some optimism about him coming back to Calgary?

Conroy: “Well I think the one thing we’ve been working with all our UFA guys. Talking to them from the summer into training camp and then, you know, right through the start of the season.

So it’s pretty much been status quo as we move forward here.”

NHL Rumors: Sounds Like the Calgary Flames Will Eventually Extend Noah Hanifin

Leslie: “Flames fans hoping to get some good news sooner than later. Noah Hanifin’s one of them, Elias Lindholm as well. And you touched on, you’re trying to approach it the same with all of these guys, but I know you’ve got a laundry list of things you need to do in that department. So, everybody kind of keeping their fingers crossed that that can get done.
