Johnny Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames and Mikko Koivu of the Minnesota Wild
On Overrated trade targets that could be moved …

Lyle Richardson on Bleacher Report: Ranking the most overrated trade targets that could potentially be traded.

8. Alexandre Burrows – Vancouver Canucks
7. Steve Mason – Philadelphia Flyers
6. Jarome Iginla – Colorado Avalanche
5. Shane Doan – Arizona Coyotes
4. Jordan Eberle – Edmonton Oilers
3. Thomas Vanek – Detroit Red Wings
2. Martin Hanzal – Arizona Coytoes
1. Gabriel Landeskog – Colorado Avalanche

On the Minnesota Wild …

Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune: The Wild could look acquire a fourth line center before March 1st trade deadline. Tyler Graovac has only goals and no assists in games – two goals in his past 30 games.

Martin Hanzal is one rental that is available.

GM Chuck Fletcher when asked if he’ll address the center position at the deadline.

“It remains to be seen. We’re built a certain way. I think we need scoring from our fourth line, so to get a fourth-line center certainly could be an area.

“We just have to make sure we keep our identity intact. We’ve got to make sure we have four lines that can score in this game to be successful.”

On the Calgary Flames …

Eric Francis of the Calgary Herald: There is the sense that Johnny Gaudreau is suffering from the Flames overall lack of toughness. Maple Leafs wing Leo Komarov laid out Gaudreau the other night. Mark Giordano had a brief tussle with Komarov, but nothing else came of the big hit. Teams have been more physical with Gaudreau.

“I think we have got people who are able to handle that (rough stuff) but I’m looking at everything right now,” said Treliving of the lack of toughness theory explaining his star’s struggles.

“No question, there’s less room on the ice because he’s put himself in the position of being a top player. I think (the physical abuse) has always been there in his career. People are going to play hard against him and I think that gets magnified when production is down.”
