The Avs, Panthers and maybe the Islanders looking at Artemi Panarin

Adrian Dater: Artemi Panarin’s agent met with the Colorado Avalanche yesterday in Denver. The Avs have a significant interest in the forward.

John Shannon: Both Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin are in Florida but are not meeting with Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon until later this week.

Adrian Dater: Though not positive, the New York Islanders could have some interest in Panarin. It is believed that Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello is looking to make a splash.

Robin Lehner not interested in talking to other teams

Andrew Gross of Newsday: New York Islanders goaltender Robin is hopeful for an extension with the Islanders and isn’t planning on talking with other teams as of now.

“I’ve got no plans to talk to another team at this point,” Lehner told Newsday on Sunday. “From my understanding, that’s not Lou’s intention either. Hopefully, it will work out so we can finish what we have started.”

Anders Lee and Lehner are believed to be looking for longer termed contracts than what GM Lamoriello is willing to offer. Money for each doesn’t appear to be an issue.

Yzerman on free agency and defenseman Niklas Kronwall

Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Detroit Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman on free agency.

“I”m going to make some calls and see,” he said. “There are players we’re interested in. I’ll get a feel for, one, if they have any interest in coming to Detroit, and then what the parameters are of what they’re looking for.”

The Red Wings are willing to wait on free agent defenseman Niklas Kronwall.

“We’re going to go about our business,” Yzerman said. “Nothing really changes. If Nik wants to come back and play, he’ll have a spot on the team. I don’t anticipate giving you anything really until the end of the summer.”
