Panarin changing agents

Kevin Weekes: Columbus Blue Jackets pending free agent forward Artemi Panarin is changing agents.

Elliotte Friedman: There is talk that Panarin could be hiring the same agent as Sergei Bobrovsky – Paul Theofanous.

This would lead to even more speculation that the will be a package deal when free agency gets underway.

Aaron Portzline: Panarin’s next agent will be his third since Nov/Dec 2016 – “He was w Tom Lynn when he left KHL for Chicago, then changed very late in second contract negotiations w Blackhawks, joining Milstein.”

Pierre LeBrun: Panarin switching agents from Milstein to Theofanous doesn’t change much from the Blue Jackets side of things as it’s looking like Panarin his heading to free agency.

Bobrovsky/Panarin agent met with Blue Jackets

Aaron Portzline: Yesterday in Glendale agent Paul Theofanous met with the Blue Jackets management at the team hotel.

Asking price for Panarin shocked the Predators and Bruins

Chris Kuc: Have been hearing that the Nashville Predators are looking at the idea of trading for Artemi Panarin.

TSN: The asking price for rental players that contending teams are interested in is high at the moment according to Pierre LeBrun.

The Nashville Predators and Boston Bruins have checked in on Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artemi Panarin and were a bit shocked.

“In particular, my sense is that Nashville and Boston checked in on Artemi Panarin in Columbus and had a bit of sticker shock when they found out how much it’s going to take to pry him out of there this early in the process.

We’re still two-and-half weeks out from the deadline, and I think as time goes on, the price should go down; especially if Stone or Duchene are added to the trade market next week. To me, those two guys would change the landscape big time. I think the contenders have to be patient.”
