NHL Rumors: Blues, Kings, Rangers, Jets, Oilers, Hurricanes and Maple Leafs
Could the Winnipeg Jets be interested in Kevin Hayes if the Rangers make him available?

Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos says that St. Louis Blues coach Mike Yeo and Los Angeles Kings coach John Stevens could be on the hot seat, but will be given a bit of time to hopefully turn things around.

Elliotte Friedman adds Alain Vigneault and Craig Berube‘s names have come up. Could a team ask the Toronto Maple Leafs about Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe?

Kypreos said that the New York Rangers could continue their rebuild and pending UFA center Kevin Hayes is generating a lot of trade interest.

“He’s getting a lot of attention early, in terms of NHL scouts,” Kypreos said Saturday during Hockey Night in Canada’s Headlines segment. “It’s no secret right now he’s already making with the New York Rangers and he’s going to price himself out as he becomes an unrestricted free agent — especially when it comes to the New York Rangers’ rebuild. So he’s going to get a lot of attention early here.”

Kypreos mentions the Winnipeg Jets as a potential landing spot for Hayes. The Jets didn’t re-sign Paul Stastny and Hayes could be a replacement.

The Rangers could be looking for a prospect or a draft pick.

Elliotte Friedman said that Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian is looking for a new home.

“Zack Kassian has permission from the team to seek out a trade out of the city, try to find a fresh start,” Friedman said of the Oilers depth forward.

Chris Johnston says that Kyle Dubas has been out scouting teams.

Elliotte Friedman thinks that the Maple Leafs may have to consider trading William Nylander at some point if they can’t come to terms.

Kypreos adds that he’s heard between 12 and 15 teams have shown some interest in trading for Nylander. The Maple Leafs continue to tell teams they are not interested in moving him. The Carolina Hurricanes and Los Angeles Kings are believed to among the teams that have shown some interest.
