Third-Pairing left-handed defenseman – Paul Martin, Brooks Orpik, Dan Hamhuis, John Moore, Brandon Davidson and Ian Cole.

Right-handed center – Riley Nash, Jay Beagle, Nick Shore, Eric Fehr, Derek Ryan, Kyle Brodziak, Tyler Bozak, Antoine Vermette, Mark Letestu and Tim Schaller.

Right-handed top-six right winger – David Perron, James Neal, Thomas Vanek, Joel Ward, Matt Read, J.T. Brown, Drew Stafford, Alex Chiasson, Blake Comeau, and Tommy Wingels.

Grinders – Ryan Reaves, Matt Hendricks, Scott Hartnell and Leo Komarov.

Third Goaltenders – Robin Lehner, Jarolslav Halak, Kari Lehtonen, Petr Mrazek, Anton Khudobin, Michael Hutchinson, Chad Johnson, and Eddie Lack.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi: Flyers GM Ron Hextall finally has some money to spend – about $20 million in cap space after they re-sign a couple RFAs.

John Tavares at center would have been nice, but they didn’t get an invite.

The Flyers could use a center, a defenseman, and a winger.

They would also look at the trade market that may include Jeff Skinner, Ryan O’Reilly, and Colton Parayko.

Free agents that could interest Hextall and the Flyers.
