Rumors: Maple Leafs, Oilers, Panthers and Red Wings
  • Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal: Oilers GM Craig MacTavish spoke with Blues GM Doug Armstrong during Friday’s game. There are rumors that the Oilers could be interested in Patrik Berglund. Things have cooled with regards to Artem Anisimov and the Oilers. Sources are saying that Nail Yakupov was offered to an Eastern Conference team. He’s playing 14 minutes a game, but only has three goals and four assists in 24 games. David Perron knows his name is out there. Head coach Dallas Eakins is feeling the heat as he only has 35 wins in 106 games.
  • Mike Johnston of Sportnet: Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Panthers have made pending UFAs Sean Bergenheim ($2.75 million) and Tomas Fleischmann ($4.5 million) available. Fleischmann has a modified no-trade clause. Brad Boyes could also be getting some interest. Boyes has one year left on his deal at $2.625 million.
  • Ansar Khan of MLive: (mailbag) Khan doubts the Red Wings would move either Pavel Datsyuk or Henrik Zetterberg at any point. Khan thinks the defenseman Jakub Kindl will eventually get traded.
