Trade: Bruins Send Lucic to Kings for 1st, Jones and Miller

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Milan Lucic from the Boston Bruins for a 2015 1st round pick (# 13), goalie Martin Jones and defenseman Colin Miller.

Pierre LeBrun: The Bruins are retaining almost half of Lucic’s salary to make the deal happen.

John Hoven: Boston retaining $2.7 million. Kings on the hook for $3.3 million.

The 27-year old Lucic was drafted 50th overall in the second round of the 2006 draft by the Bruins. He carries a $6 million cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of next season.

The 25-year old Jones was undrafted and is a RFA.

The 22-year old Miller was drafted 151st overall in the 5th round of the 2012 draft by the Kings.
