Trade: Penguins Send Goc To The Blues For Lapierre

The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded center Marcel Goc to the St. Louis Blues for center/right winger Max Lapierre.

The 31-year old Goc was drafted 20th overall in the 2001 draft by the Sharks. He carries a $1.2 million salary cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of the season.

The 29-year old Lapierre was drafted 61st overall in the second round of the 2003 draft by the Canadiens. He carries a $1.1 million salary cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of the season.
