The Buffalo Sabres have traded Torrey Mitchell to the Montreal Canadiens for a prospect and a pick.

The 30-year old Mitchell was drafted 126th overall in the 4th round of the 2004 draft by the Sharks. He carries a $1.9 million salary cap hit.
