Would Connor Hellebuyck be okay with sitting out if he’s not traded?
The Mug NHL: Would Connor Hellebuyck be okay with holding out and not showing up to the Winnipeg Jets camp, and beyond?
** NHLRumors.com transcription
Dave Feschuk: “When you sign a contract, and if you don’t want to come to camp, that’s fine. But we’re not paying you, and you can sit there.”
Marty Biron: “I mean, obviously, that is an option for Kevin Cheveldayoff. But at the same time, I really feel that Connor Hellebuyck is going to say, ‘Okay, that’s fine. You know what? Like, suspend me, whatever. I’m willing to sit out a year. I’ve made good money. I put it away. I’m okay for the year. Just going to take time with my family.'”

Potential landing spots for Connor Hellebuyck
Joe Yerdon of Bleacher Report: A look at eight teams that might have some level of interest in Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.
Buffalo Sabres – Have three goalies they could put in an offer, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Alex Lyon or Colten Ellis. A young forward in Konsta Helenius, Noah Östlund or Zach Benson. A prospect like Radim Mrtka, Adam Kleber or Daxon Rudolph. A roster player like Jack Quinn or Josh Norris.
New Jersey Devils – Hellebuyck may make more sense for the Devils that Quinn Hughes. Could offer a roster player like Dawson Mercer, or Arseny Gritsyuk, as well as prospects like Lenni Hämeenaho, Seamus Casey, or Anton Silayev. Goaltender Nico Daws could be included.
Edmonton Oilers – The Oilers would love a goalie like Hellebuyck, but it’s an unlikely deal to put together.
Detroit Red Wings – Acquiring Hellebuyck might help convince Dylan Larkin to stay … whenever they hire a GM. John Gibson is a UFA after next season, but Wings could offer goaltending prospect Trey Augustine, and other promising young NHLers,
Vegas Golden Knights – Would Adin Hill waive to go to Winnipeg, or would the Jets prefer Carter Hart. Vegas would need to move salary, and players may not want to waive a no-trade to go from Vegas to Winnipeg.
Florida Panthers – They just acquired Jacob Markstrom this offseason, and the Jets are likely on his no-trade list. They aren’t moving Anton Lundell.
Potential Targets for the Canucks, and Dylan Larkin Would be Ideal for the Canadiens
San Jose Sharks – The Sharks may have some young prospects that may interest the Jets including Yaroslav Askarov. They’re unlikely to move Michael Misa, Ivar Stenberg or Sam Dickinson.
Chicago Blackhawks – Spencer Knight could be an ideal replacement for Hellebuyck. Prospects like Oliver Moore, Roman Kantserov, Kevin Korchinski and Sam Rinzel could interest the Jets.
