On the Dan Hamhuis … (tweets are from newest to oldest)
- Matthew Sekeres: A Dan Hamhuis trade may have to wait until Kris Russell is traded. The Capitals are out on Hamhuis.
- John Shannon: While it’s sounding like Dan Hamhuis is more open to waiving his no-trade clause, teams are also hearing that he’d like to re-sign with the Canucks.
- Mathew Sekeres: On Hamhuis to the Bruins. Think it requires a big extension for Hamhuis. The Canucks did like Bruins draft pick Zach Senyshyn, and to a lesser extent Jakub Zboril. GM Jim Benning may still like Alex Khokhlachev and some Bruins prospects from when he was there. Doubt that a move to the Bruins happens if a Stars deal is possible.
- Darren Dreger: The Bruins have interest in Hamhuis, and there is no reason to believe that he wouldn’t view them as an option.
- Jon Abbott: Hamhuis on if the Dallas Stars would make sense: “If that’s the direction we are going,to make a move, then Dallas has a lot of great things going for it”
- Dan Murphy: Hamhuis confirmed that the Stars have many attractive qualities and he would consider a trade there.
- Iain MacIntyre: The Canucks would rather get a prospect or player than a draft pick for Dan Hamhuis. They want to build on their 20-26 year old group.
- Bob McKenzie: The Stars are interested. Interested to see where it goes.
- Dan Murphy: The Stars have interest in Dan Hamhuis, and it’s a team from understanding that Hamhuis would be interested in.
- Brian Lawton: Talk that Hamhuis could waive his no-trade clause for one of three teams. He could still sign back with the Canucks as a UFA – Blackhawks, Kings and Capitals
