Helene Elliott via twitter: Bobby Ryan’s agent and the Anaheim Ducks have talked, and will talk again on Tuesday.
Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Ducks and Ryan’s side are in active negotiations after their Friday meeting. There is the possibility that they look at a 2 year deal.
Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune: Once training camp gets underway, Steve Yzerman will get in contact with Steven Stamkos’ side regarding a contract extension. Stamkos will be looking for a long-term deal, probably north of $7 million per season.
Jim Gintonio of the Arizona Republic: RFA Martin Hanzal still remains unsigned by the Phoenix Coyotes, but GM Don Maloney expects to have him signed before the start of training camp.
George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press: Andres Lilja skated in Detroit on Friday, but admits he’s frustrated with not having a contract. Lilja turned down a one-year, $1 million offer from the Wings because he wanted more, Detroit signed Ruslan Salei instead. He’s talking to a couple teams, but the market isn’t the greatest now. He could go overseas and make more money, but his first choice is to stay in the NHL.
