On the New York Islanders …

Arthur Staple of Newsday: Defenseman Ryan Pulock didn’t travel with the team to Florida and is likely finished for the series due to an upper-body injury he suffered on Wednesday night.

“We’re pretty sure he’s going to miss the rest of the series,” Jack Capuano told Newsday just after the Islanders arrived here Thursday. “It’s a big loss. He’s a young guy who was playing real well, he had a couple points, a big goal . It’s a little more adversity we’ll have to battle back from.”

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: Coach Jon Cooper didn’t say what Tyler Johnson’s issue was, but said he would discuss it in a couple days.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Dan Rosen: Marc-Andre Fleury didn’t practice yesterday and he hasn’t skated with the team all week.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Elliotte Friedman: Nick Kypreos mentioned last night that Alex Steen is a little banged up from a couple Andrew Ladd hits from Game 4.
