Chris Drury was also injured last night in his first game back after a broken index finger as he broke the same finger, but in a different spot, he’ll be out 6 weeks. Vinny Prospal will have knee surgery on Tuesday, and will be out indefinitely. Erik Christensen is expected to be back in the lineup on Monday after sitting out last night’s game.
Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province: Vancouver Canucks defenseman Keith Ballard left last night’s game after taking a hit in the first, he may have hurt his shoulder or possibly a concussion.

Erik Duhatschek of the Globe and Mail: Calgary Flames rookie TJ Brodie will be wearing the number 66 this season. That doesn’t seem right to me, it’s one of those rare numbers that shouldn’t be worn by just anyone. Duncan Keith averaged just over 32 minutes of ice time through the first 4 games.

Thrashers fans may not want to see some of the other players they passed over to take Valabik, some guy named Mike Green, Travis Zajac, Andrej Meszaros (though many other teams passed on those guys as well).
